Commenting

Comments on Esgetology are welcome. Please sign up for an IntenseDebate account to enhance the conversation on this blog.

If you have not had a comment published before, your comment will be placed in a queue for moderation. Please be patient; it may take up to 24 hours for me to review it. If you have signed up for an IntenseDebate account, you only need to have one comment approved; future comments will be immediately published. If you do not have an IntenseDebate account, every comment will be moderated (thus, delayed).

Here are the ground rules:

  • Be civil. If you wish to disagree, do so in a courteous, respectful, and reasonable manner.
  • Comments with ad hominem attacks or inappropriate language are all subject to deletion.
  • Comments that are solely for the purpose of advertising, or that promote evil, will not be allowed.
  • Pseudonyms are discouraged, but may be allowed if using your real name would subject you to reprisal or harassment. In general, I believe that you should be willing to put your name to your words.
  • In all cases, a valid email address is required. If you would like to contact me directly, please email me at esgetology@me.com.

Even if a comment is approved or allowed to stand, it does not mean that I agree with it.

I am a Lutheran pastor, and I strive to represent the teachings of the Sacred Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions here. It’s what I believe. Non-Lutherans (and non-Christians) are welcome to comment, but please remember the context: This is a Lutheran blog.
