Our wonderful interim school administrator, Mrs. Margaret Zensinger, had a pricless quote the other day: “Of course we have contemporary worship music at Immanuel. It’s called ‘Ralph Vaughan Williams.’”

I love that you tagged this “Contemptible Worship”
If the composer is not dead yet (or lived during the speaker’s lifetime), then it’s contemporary, isn’t it? Just because it’s contemporary doesn’t mean it should be used in worship. Even “American Pie” has a doxological verse. . . (she says tongue firmly planted in cheek)
