Montpelier

2008 August 2

Kassie and I visited Montpelier today, the home of James and Dolley Madison. James was our fourth president, and “father of the constitution,” while Dolley was called the “first First Lady.” It was a fascinating tour, and better enjoyed after visiting Monticello last autumn. In a later post I will show some pictures of a gravestone near the Madisons’ that I liked.
