Great day

This morning, my congregation honored the tenth anniversary of my ordination by having Chaplain Jonathan Shaw take my Bible Class, and Chaplain Matthew Franke preach the sermon; he preached on the blessing of the office of the ministry from 1 Cor. 3. I was privileged also to baptize a little child, Olaf Francis Emblem, son of Leif and Katie. After the service, the Elders had a special reception in my honor in the undercroft, and Leo Mackay said deeply humbling, kind things about me. (Also, they saved me some food, as it’s usually gone by the time I get to the undercroft – chicken wings, my favorite; hooray!)

Tonight we’re going to a birthday party for a friend. All in all, a great day!
