Wilkommen!
2008 May 9
Greetings! I’ve set up shop with Wordpress on the custom domain kindly given to me. It looks like everything ported over from Blogger nicely. Remember to update your bookmarks, links, etc.
Now might be a good time for everyone to introduce themselves – please leave a note in the comments! And now, I’m off to visit the new Nationals Park to see the Nationals take on the Florida Marlins. Cheers – and thanks for visiting!

Welcome to the wonderful world of wordpress.
First!
Touchdown!
Heh. Rev. Peperkorn wins.
Pr. Esget, I use Wordpress on my own host and love it. I have considered moving my blog to Wordpress.com for speed, but I have to leave off some cool plugins and forfeit ads to do that.
Intro:
My job has me traveling cross-country and infrequently out of the U.S. NR started as a travel blog that morphed into a blog with posts about religion, economics, government, sightseeing, petroleum (my industry), and over 50 hotel reports. I write religion posts with Methodists and fellow Lutherans as the target audience.
Hello,
I’m a Lutheran home schooling mom of two and a knitter, so that is most of what I write about. We’ve met via email and phone after Katrina. I’m married to the blogger formerly known as the Quipper. He’s recently limited his quips to a new social commentary blog, also on WordPress.

I’m third! Woohoo….best number for a Trinitarian.
I’m a work-at-home, homeschooling mom. As the name says, I’m married to a pastor as well. My hubby is Rev. Jeff Horn. We live in Indiana, just north of Fort Wayne.
I’m incredibly jealous of you right now because I’d probably sell my left kidney to be in a baseball stadium right now, any baseball stadium, and I hear the new one for the Nats is pretty cool.
I guess I just have to wait until the Tigers vs. the Dodgers during interleague play…sigh.

I’m a deaconess intern from CU Chicago. Currently, I am finishing my internship at Bethesda Lutheran Homes and Service in Watertown, Wisconsin. I will be finished, graduated and ready for my first call, after a full load of classes this fall. I first started reading Pastor Esget’s sermons when I lived next to one his former parishioners at Concordia two years ago. Needless to say, I was delighted to come across the blog about six nine months ago. Thank you, Pastor, for making the Word God delivers through you available for those of us who need a little extra encouragement far away from home.

Thanks for the welcome. Just thought I’d let you know I check in every once in a while to see what you have to say. I’m currently pastor of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Altenburg, Missouri.
God’s Peace,
K
Dang it. I wasn’t third. But who can be mad at Marie?
At least I can take comfort in that I am whomping on Pastor Peperkorn in fantasy baseball this week. But Sunday is coming. For some reason, the pastors in our league always make amazing comebacks on Sunday.

Well, I’m nowhere near first, but at least I’m in good company here. Count me as yet another Lutheran homeschool mom who blogs. I have a husband and four kids and we’re members of Redeemer in Fort Wayne.
Hello. Nice place you have here.
RPW: The new Nationals Park is a nice ballpark. It isn’t architecturally beautiful like Camden Yards; and it certainly isn’t thrilling to be there like at Yankee Stadium or (my favorite) Fenway Park. But it has much to recommend it. What most impressed me was the plethora of open spaces – it is a very joyful place to be.
Of course, I’d rather be in MPLS watching my first place Twins, even if they do play (for a little while longer) in a circus tent.
I’m jealous that you’re in a fantasy league with Pr. Peperkorn. That sounds like a lot of fun.
Hi Pastor,
I’m a Lutheran wannabe (just started catechism).
Stop by here most every morning.
Can’t wait for 2 things, and in this order.
1) taking communion with my brothers and sisters.
2) 2010 when my Twins move into their new ballpark

Go Giants! Looking out over the bay and enjoying a good beer. Not bad duty in my book.
Haven’t stopped here much, but do check in occasionally. I’m Michael Paul, a ‘96 CSL MDiv grad, now in the CSL PhD program, currently residing in Taiwan. Was an LCMS missionary to Macau and Taiwan from 1996-2002. I would most like to be in the new Busch Stadium watching my first place Cardinals…
Hi!
That’s all I got.
I’m home for the summer from CUChicago and I pop by here every now and then. Taking a break from cleaning up in the basement, which is now a mini-swamp thanks to the rain. (not allowed to rain for a month)
Anway! I’m a Lutheran Elementary Ed major just finished year 2 of school (half way there!).
I like the new shop and enjoy keeping up with everything amid the babies. It keeps my brain from turning to mush and helps strengthen me in my vocation as a mother.
Pastor,
Who knows, we could possibly make room next year? Its a fun league with good people.
I really like the new site. You have me feeling seriously restless…but I’d have to give up my cat.
Former pre-conciliar RC altar boy, former WELS elder, now LCMS “speed bump” I guess they call us. Regular reader of this blog, share with Pastor a background in Minnesota, Boston and music — though he was the real deal and I am a recovering academic. Nationals? Hey, I remember when the old Senators franchise relocated to Minneapolis and became the Twins, not to mention real men playing real football outside in the snow with no bench heaters!
I am Mason Beecroft, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Tulsa, OK. Pastor Esget is the shepherd to my sister’s family and my parents. Let me just say that he is a much better pastor than a fantasy football or baseball player. Thanks be to God for my family’s sake!
Pastor- thank you for your faithfulness. I always enjoy our lunches and dinners when I am in DC. May Christ continue to be with you and Kassie. I look forward to seeing you again.
+Mason
Well, I’m late to the party, but I’m still a reader of your blog. And I share a love for your beloved Twins even though I grew up a Reds fan. The things I do for my hubby. We try to make it to one game/year otherwise, the radio or tv is our friend during Twins games.
